How do I work out my ring size?
Obviously if you want to purchase a ring on-line you will want to know your ring size. If you already know your size then you can advise us in the comments field of the checkout page. If not, the most accurate way to measure a finger size is to come in and see us at our store. You may decide to do that, but if the ring you are purchasing is a surprise gift or if that’s just not convenient then there are a few different ways which you can do this.
Pop in to your local jeweller and have your finger accurately measured.
If you are not in a hurry a can send you out a “multisizer” ring sizer for you to use at home. If you would like to do this just let us know in the comments field at the checkout page, and we will post one out to you. Once you have worked out your size simply let us know either by phone or email and we will size your new ring and courier it to you the next day. There is no extra charge for this service, it just means your ring will take a few days longer to get to you.
If it is a gift you may be able to ask the recipients friends or family members if they know their size.
Things to remember when measuring a ring size.
Finger size changes during the day. It is better to measure a finger later in the day when it is a bit warmer than first thing in the morning when it is cold as the finger will be smaller.
It pays to check the measurement a few times to make sure you are as accurate as you can be.
Do not use string, this is a very inaccurate way to measure a finger size as it can stretch and twist and is very thin.
At the end of the day don’t worry. We will re-size any ring purchased on-line FREE OF CHARGE (once only), the only catch is that you would need in this instance to have your finger measured accurately either by us, or by a reputable jeweller if its not convenient to pop in to see us.
